GRE Studies Continue

Today, I took a practice set for the GRE verbal section, and I managed to score 17/20. I would have been satisfied with this, had I actually made three legitimate mistakes. In actuality, I knew the correct answers for two of those three, and had just marked down the incorrect answers by mistake. I really need to shape up soon, or my graduate school search will get very futile very quickly…

Why Must Time Be Wasted by Me?

I feel like I have not accomplished much of anything at all today. After about an hour of studying, I proceeded to spend the rest of the day either pacing around outside thinking about unimportant strings of information with no useful meaning, or sitting at my computer gawking at non-significant gibberish. I contributed nothing to society today, and the nature of procrastination that I pursue seems to be eroding into nearly every waking hour of my day. I need to get a life very, very soon.

GRE Studies Begin

I began studying for the GRE today. I had not looked at any materials for it before, save for one time at a prep session last spring, so it was critical for me to get started as early as possible. I do not know what day I will take it, but it will likely be near the end of the month.

In other news, I have about three weeks till I return to Michigan for my senior year of college. Things are ramping up now…

I Really Want to Go Home

My summer research job is dragging out to the very end. My mentors allowed me very little time to produce a research poster and presentation, and I have been spending most of the waking hours of the past two days getting these up to snuff. It is the most exhausting days I have ever had in a research position, and it has been taking its toll on me. I am both mentally and physically drained now, and both my sleep and meal schedules are way out of whack.

I truly cannot wait for Friday, when I fly back home to Ohio. I will miss Atlanta, and the personal freedom I have had here, butI will be incredibly relieved and happy to step foot inside my family’s house. I will have nothing to do for a few days, before I start studying for the GRE, and it will be absolutely wonderful. I get to see my whole family together for the first time since March, so that will make it an all around wonderful time.
